SWAN is seeking a neighbor to help assist Karl Williams in listening to others in the neighborhood. Below is a explanation the expectations that have been set in place:

The Westown Collaborative, at this stage of development, is seeking to establish a consistent pattern of neighborhood listening (and response) that honors the gifts, hopes, and dreams of local stakeholders (residential and organizational).  It is hoping to build upon the work of Karl Williams, our local community connector, by forming a "discovery team" to sustain a relational presence, to capture meaningful feedback from the Westown community, and to discern potential "next steps" of community action.  The intent is to have representatives from each organizational member of the collaborative who will be trained and make the commitment Kurt has laid out.

1. Attend Community Listening Training (2.5 hours)

2. Spend a minimum of 2 hours monthly in community listening (neighborhood walking, stakeholder interviews, door to door surveying, focus groups)
3. Document conversations and send to Karl (1/2 hour)
4. Meet monthly with Karl & Team to report on experience and share discoveries (1 hour)

The community listening training will be held on February 4 from 9-11:30 @ The Other Way.
