Pathways to Prosperity

This is an education and training grant funded by the U. S. Department of Labor. It is relatively comprehensive in what it provides.  Each participant is assigned a Career coach to help him/her determine the best “path to follow.”   Once the initial assessments have been administered, the participant is placed in an appropriate class or job training experience.   Employability skills are also taught and demonstrated. 

The eligibility requirements for this grant are few.   You must:

1.        Be 18 or older

2.        Be a legal resident or citizen

3.        Income qualify (below the ceiling)

4.       Live within the Grand Rapids mailing address area

5.       Register for the Selective Service (males, only)

I am attaching several documents that will acquaint you with the Literacy Center as well as the Pathways to Prosperity Program.  In order for interested individuals to participate they are required to attend an Awareness Session.  The dates, times and locations for the month are listed below.
